Windows Steady State?
Has anyone tried using Steady State with their Vista machines? I have a pool of circulating laptops that I am investigating restore options on.

Blog notifications??
Just a thought… would it be useful/possible to script the blog to send notifications to users when new items are created or perhaps comments made to subjects in the blog? I’m sure others are as busy as I am and therefore forget this venue of knowledge exists. It would help to have some sort of notification that the blog has been edited. As the “Pings” feature exists for the current posting only, someother form of notice might be welcome.

Locking out websites in Firefox
Unlike IE, parental controls do not come standard with Firefox 3. There are several extensions which do the same work, though. Recently I was asked to lock out all but a few web domains on some student workstations, and I used ProCon Latte. It was easy to use and did not require an admin to set up, like IE’s content control.
