If you want to turn pdf files into multi-page tiff files (to feed through Odyssey or Ariel, for instance), you could either purchase an app to do it, or just download the programs GhostScript and GhostFriend.
Ghostscript is a command-line program with many useful functions. Ghost friend is a GUI for GhostScript. Together, they make image conversions a snap. Both programs are freeware.
